In that case, I’ve got a little test for you, to see whether you really are a thrill aficionado.

Well, my dear friend, your opinion on that is sure to change, when you read this bit of news, I’ve got exclusively for you.

Rob Mariano went on to become a household name, after he won the previous season of the show. If you missed his momentous victory, you can catch up with it all by getting a download of the latest season of Survivor.

Rob is remembered in many more ways than just that. He made headlines, when he televised every moment of his intimate wedding with his beautiful wife, Amber.

Not just that, he also had heartbeats racing, as being the best looking contestant on the show, and was famously known as the guy crush of the show’s host, Jeff Probst.

But if you thought that the star was just having his 15 minutes of fame, and would soon be forgotten as just another reality contestant, you couldn’t be more wrong!

Rob has landed an enviable contract with The History Channel, in which he will be travelling around the globe, along with monster truck guru, Dennis Anderson. The show, named ‘Around the World in 80 Days’, will see the duo using 80 different modes of transportation to travel across the globe.

(And you thought 15 was asking for too much!)

The show is unique from other travelling shows, since it forbids the repeated use of any mode of transport.

Sounds like it’s going to be great fun to watch!

However, what we can’t help wondering is how his wife manages to allow him to stay away from home for what seems like forever!

First it was “The Amazing Race”, then “Survivor” and now a travel show!

To that, Rob says that he is lucky to be blessed with a wife, who supports him and understands his adventurous spirit.

‘Boston Rob’, that’s what we call him affably, did it finally!

He tried four times and it was this time in the Survivor: Redemption Island (based in Nicaragua) that his efforts finally bore fruits.

He emerged as the victor in the 22nd season of the reality show that truly tests one’s patience and grit. After all, its’ about standing the atmosphere brewing with murkiness and marked by plotting against every other individual on the show.

And I must say his victory was something you call a ‘unanimous decision.’ What makes me jump to this conclusion?

Well, Rob received eight of the nine votes cast on the fateful day.

As he was beaming with happiness, he exclaimed that one does need luck to get through and triumph in the fray.

Yup, we certainly agree with your contention. After all, winning $1 million prize is not a child’s game!

But the man does deserve kudos for his endurance.

At this juncture, I would like to remind you that Mr. Mariano’s stint in the Survivor franchise includes trying to win in ‘Marquesas’, ‘All stars and Heroes vs. Villains seasons’ and ‘The Amazing Race’, in which he participated twice.

If that wasn’t enough, the Massachusetts lad has got an offer to host a show as well.

Seems, fate has decided to be bountiful to the 35-year-old, who would be playing an emcee in the show, ‘Around the world in 80 days’, to be aired on the History Channel.

Well, as they say, ‘behind every successful man, there is a woman’, Rob’s wife Amber is also an adventure enthusiast and they met each other in 2005, on the show itself. Download the breathtaking Survivor series and catch up with a reality show that is truly adventurous!
