These contestants will be involved in a grueling battle on the mystical and uninhabited beaches of Samoa. Do not worry about age differences of the cast members. Though young blood flows with energy and vigor, smartness is still equally potent force as youthful energy.
Definitely, an even contest is on the cards. Scanning through the list of contestants, fans would know that there is a rocket scientist, a doctor, law students, fitness instructor, police officer etc. However, believe me there is no unity in this diversity as everyone is aiming for the highest honor of winning season 19 of Survivor television series.
Each season of Survivor entails different locations, challenges, contestants and above all a different winner. Preceding seasons of this TV show have always left a lasting impression on the minds of its cult fan following. Gear up for Another All Star Season of Survivor

August 5, 2009 · Posted in about show, best gossip, survivor Episode, survivor tvshow · Comment

The 10th anniversary edition of the reality show, Survivor is going to be another all-star season. If you have seen All-Star and Fans vs Favorites, then you know what I am talking about. This season will be Survivor’s 20th season marking the completion of Survivor’s 10 years on the television.

I have the list of the contestants supposed to be part of 20th season. But what’s baffling me is this leaking of list. It is too early for that coz as far as my calculations go this season which is to be shot in Samoa is not due to air until March 2010. They have already started working on it as the next two seasons are going to be shot back to back.

Coby Archa, a former contestant spilled the list consisting of 23 names. This list will be whittled down further to 20 contestants. Strangely enough, for some of contestants it will third stint with the survivors.

I’ll spill the list with my fingers crossed, hoping that it is true.

It seems that destiny is siding up with the audiences to save them the torture of another Coach-Sierra face-off sort of situations which are sure to arise when stars of previous seasons meet. Recently, a federal judge in Rhodes Island has denied Richard Hatch the permission to leave home confinement early to participate in 20th season of Survivor. In case you have forgotten, Hatch was the winner of debut season of the Survivor and was convicted in 2006 when he failed to pay taxes on $1 million he won on the show.

However, there is at least on person who is definitely going to miss all the fun and excitement of the tenth anniversary celebration of the series. And that person is none other than Richard Hatch, the winner of the very first season of Survivor, which was aired in 2000. This Survivor star’s dream of making a comeback to the world of reality television has sadly been crushed.
Richard was charged and sentenced to four years imprisonment in 2005, as he had failed to pay tax on the more than $1 million prize that he’d earned as the winner of Survivor season 1 as well as his successive appearances on television. On 11th may 2009, Richard was freed from a facility in Morgantown, due to his good conduct, but he still had to remain in home confinement.

Survivor Tocantins Finale ends with surprise and excitement

This season of the Survivor series in Tocantins (Brazil) has not been any less than any suspense movie. Everyone was curious to know about the final results as the show moved through various twists and turns.
The sweet guy “JT”, who has been everyone’s favorite, is the winner of the season. But it wasn’t a piece of cake for him. He went through a very tough competition throughout the show, especially in the last two immunity challenges and Stephen was not an easy man to compete with.

One thing really great about this season is that it was unpredictable. “Outwit, outplay and outlast” that happened to be the tag line of this season were the skills that were actually required of the contestants for winning the various tasks. It could be one reason why this season proved to be such a big hit. Women on the show definitely out-schemed and out-bitched the male competitors.

When everyone was asked to vote and when they were done with it, JT and Stephen’s began a long wait as the votes would be read in New York. That was really very difficult period for both the finalists because on one side it was fame, money and popularity and on the other there was nothing.
And then came the most awaited time of the whole season “The Finale”.
JT was looking different as he was cleaned up and shaved. Everything was set and then with some preliminary remarks by the host Jeff Probst, counting started.
First Vote- JT
Second Vote- “The Warrior” JT
Third Vote- JT
Fourth vote- JT

It was unanimous; the winner of the “Survivor Tocantins” was James “JT” Thomas JR. His face revealed his happiness and then he got a big hug from Stephen and then mom, dad, friends. Besides winning $ 1million prize money, he won an additional $100,000 from the Sprint Player of the Season contest.
Later, in an interview, JT said that he and Stephen would together put the prize money into investments. He also revealed that he would be going back to continue his cattle ranching.
