Survivor Star’s Dreams of a Comeback Not To Be Realized!

Hey buddies! Our favorite reality series, Survivor, is all set to come back with its nineteenth season on September 17, 2009. I am sure that all of you are eager to watch yet another adventurous season of the thrilling show, which has been testing the staying power of people for almost ten years now. Yes guys we might not have realized it, but Survivor is fast approaching its tenth anniversary.
However, there is at least on person who is definitely going to miss all the fun and excitement of the tenth anniversary celebration of the series. And that person is none other than Richard Hatch, the winner of the very first season of Survivor, which was aired in 2000. This Survivor star’s dream of making a comeback to the world of reality television has sadly been crushed.
Richard was charged and sentenced to four years imprisonment in 2005, as he had failed to pay tax on the more than $1 million prize that he’d earned as the winner of Survivor season 1 as well as his successive appearances on television. On 11th may 2009, Richard was freed from a facility in Morgantown, due to his good conduct, but he still had to remain in home confinement.

Richard, a corporate trainer, had won much acclaim after he emerged as the winner of Survivor: Borneo, which was set on the remote Pulau Tiga, a Malaysian island in the South China Sea. He had beaten runner-up Kelly Wiglesworth, a river raft guide by a 4-3 vote over. Richard was now expecting to be able to make an appearance in the tenth anniversary edition of the show. He had even asked permission to leave for Samoa, but unfortunately the judge refused end his house arrest, making it impossible for him to appear on the tenth anniversary special of Survivor.
